Contestants will be allotted 5 minutes to do their “thang”. At 5 minutes, the light will come on, indicating the end of the audition.  More information to come soon.

Submissions

The 2009 PCF will take place November 4-8, 2009 in Philadelphia. This year’s event will be geared to the industry, showcasing as many New Faces of Comedy that we can find. More information on media sponsors, venues, and talent will be announced in the coming months, so keep checking back..

We are announcing our submission policy for stand-up comics for this year's festival.  We are accepting submissions in 2 categories.

What Category is Right for Me?

If you are working regularly, and are comfortable doing longer sets, then you should consider submitting in the Professional Comic Category. Comics submitting in this category are being considered to perform along side of some of the best comics in heavily attended shows. Be sure you're ready if you're submitting in this category.

If you are a newer comic who doesn't have as much experience or minutes of material, you may want to consider submitting for the NEW FACES OF COMEDY CONTEST. The goal of this contest is to put 8 to 10 great young comics in front of industry in order to provide them with exposure and opportunity. The contest is judged by an industry panel the judges will be talent producers, personal managers, club owners, and agents from legitimate agencies. This is where the industry looks to find talent years ahead of the curve.

PLEASE NOTE: If you've performed a stand-up set as a featured performer on any US TV show, then you're not eligible to perform in the New Faces of Comedy Contest.
