Language Rules

Specific limitations are placed on the use of offensive language in videos. The following charts outline guidelines for acceptable and unacceptable words. These lists are not exhaustive, but intended to indicate languages types and specifics to watch for. Of course, context is also important in the usage of a word. If a Moderator has any uncertainty about the appropriateness of a word not included in this list, or about an included word and its context, s/he should escalate the concern to management.
